4. When Luffy developed Snakeman to fight high level Observation Haki
Using Observation Haki’s future clairvoyance wasn’t the only thing that helped Luffy win over Katakuri. It’s also a combination of Future Sight and Snakeman, a new Gear 4 form that allows him to use his speed to the fullest. The uniqueness of Gear 4 allows Luffy to combine his Devil Fruit powers with his Haki, the pressure created by the compression boosting his speed and causing trouble for Katakuri.

At the beginning of the Wano arc, after losing to Kaido, Luffy is sent to Udon prison and Queen is tasked with destroying his indomitable spirit. During the Sumo Inferno event, Luffy was forced to fight for his life and at the same time protect Hyougoro, in exchange for having to wear an exploding collar. By harnessing Ryou’s power, Luffy was able to destroy the neckcuffs from within and eventually take over Udon.
2. When Luffy hurt Kaido with Ryou on Onigashima’s rooftop
Luffy and Kaido had a rematch on the rooftop of Onigashima Castle. After learning Ryou to damage others from within, Luffy was able to hurt Kaido with simple Haki-based attacks. Seeing Kin’emon and Jiu Hongbao seriously injured, Luffy unleashed his rage on Kaido with the Red Roc, leaving the Yonko bleeding and stunned before continuing to unleash his rage with Gear 4.
1. When Luffy defeated Kaido with Conqueror Haki
